Terms of Use
By installing Wallena you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the app.
What the app does
Wallena is a wallpaper gallery for iPhone and a tool that generates wallpapers from your text description, and turns your own photos and videos into Live Photos.
What it costs
The app is free to install and use, with no account. Because generating an image costs us money, the free tier has a daily limit:

The counter resets at midnight in your own time zone. We may change these numbers as costs change; the current ones are always on this page.
Wallena Pro subscription
Wallena Pro is an auto-renewable subscription bought through the App Store. Two plans are offered: weekly with a 3-day free trial, and yearly. The price for your country is shown in the app before you confirm the purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you do not cancel before it ends.
- The subscription renews automatically at the same price and period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions). Deleting the app does not cancel it.
- An unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms; we cannot issue them ourselves. Restore Purchases in the app re-activates a subscription bought with the same Apple ID.
Pro does not remove the service-wide daily ceiling described below, and it does not promise that iOS will animate a Live Photo on the Lock Screen: that is decided by the system, not by the app.
We also cap how much the service generates in total per day. If that ceiling is reached, generation says so and returns the next day. This protects the app from being drained by automated abuse — it is not aimed at you.
Rights to the images
Wallpapers you generate in the app may be used however you like, including commercially, within the limits allowed by the OpenAI policies, whose model creates them.
Photographs in the ready-made gallery are provided by their authors and used under licence. You may set them as your own wallpaper, but you may not resell or distribute them separately from the app.
How you may not use it
- Generating images that break the law or infringe other people's rights
- Attempting to bypass limits, or to reverse-engineer or forge the workings of the app and the server
- Using the service automatically, bypassing the app's interface
We may restrict access to the service if these terms are broken.
Liability
The app is provided as is. We do our best to keep it working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service: it depends on third-party providers and can be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the subscription in the current period.
Images are created by a neural network, and the result cannot be predicted in advance. It may not match what you expected — that is a property of the technology, not a fault.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. The current version is always at this address, and the date is shown at the top of the page.
