Common questions

The wallpaper is set but does not move on the Lock Screen

Motion is switched on by pressing and holding the Lock Screen — touch the wallpaper and hold. If iOS says "Motion not available", the system did not accept the file as a Live Photo; try creating the wallpaper again.

Why can I only make three a day?

Because each generated image costs us money, and the app is free. Three wallpapers and three Live Photos per day is what we can carry without charging you or filling the app with ads. The gallery and saving to Photos are not limited. The counter resets at midnight in your own time zone, and Settings shows how many Live Photos you have left today.

It says the service used up today's budget

That is a different limit: not yours, ours. We cap how much the service generates in total per day so that automated abuse cannot run up the bill. It clears the next day.

Wallpapers are not saving to Photos

Check iPhone Settings → Apps → Wallena → Photos. Add-only permission is enough, but it has to be granted.

The wallpaper did not come out the way I imagined

The image is drawn by a neural network, and the same request gives a different result every time. Try describing it in more detail — colour, mood, what should be in the background — and generate again.
